Hi,
I have a question in regards to the coupon, when I printed it it has the photo of the dog food and then available at Walmart, will DG still take it?
Yes, as long as it doesn’t say “Redeemable only at Walmart” And is a manufacture coupon you can redeem the coupon anywhere that accepts coupons.
I checked my receipt after going to DG and noticed that only 3.61 was deducted instead of the 5.75 for the B1G1 sale. I was told the sale was decreased due to the coupon. Any clue as to what this is about or should I speak to HQ?
Hey Catrice! I’m sorry but I’m not exactly sure. If those were the only things that you purchased, then they may have decreased the value of your coupons. You don’t get overages at Dollar General, but the overage will apply to other items. The best thing to do would be to talk to a manager or someone in customer service to find out what the exact problem was. I hope this helps! 🙂
I don’t understand how you use this coupon. The $5.00 dollar coupon says “on one(1) 13b or larger bag of Purina Baneful dry dog food” You cannot use it in a 3.5 lb bags of Purina Baneful dry food.
Can you explain me how you used it?
This coupon doesn’t have a size restriction. I’ve printed it to confirm 🙂
For some reason they are not ringing up buy one get one free. So it is a good price but not a money maker. I just purchase a ton of bags and other groceries to cover the overage but ended up paying for my overage items. I don’t know if I should go talk to the manager about it fixing what I paid for.
hmmm weird. Did you check your local ad to see if it’s advertised that price?
Yes and they were marked that way to……I just dont think I want to fight for the free.
Can’t you a coupon for each bag of food? I was looking at monique’s comment. Or does DG limit one coupon per pair of dog food bags?
their coupon policy doesn’t restrict usage on a free item. So they should accept 2 coupons.
How the moneymaker works ? Do they give you a gift card ?
from their coupon policy:
“If a coupon value is more than the price of the item, the remaining value will be applied to the balance of the transaction. Coupon overage can only be applied to the balance and will not be given back at the end of the transaction. Coupon overages will only be applied to the store merchandise remaining in the transaction and cannot be applied to gift cards, pre-paid money cards or phone cards. Other restrictions may apply. “
So you use a coupon on each one, then you have overage will they let you buy other items with the overage?
It applies to your cart. You do not get cash back. 🙂

Did this deal today using the $5 coupons and scored each bag for 37 cents for a total of $1.50 for four bags.
nice!
Have you tried using the $5 off any bag of Purina One or Purina Beneful dry dog food coupon on this deal?
I just printed and confirmed that it will work on this deal! Updating the post now 🙂
Anyone get these free with overage? I was trying to do this but maybe the way the took my coupons off made them .37 rather than free. Still good though
I just wanted to say that, even if you don’t have dogs, if you have the time to pick these up, I’m sure your local animal shelter or humane society would be very grateful for the donation. The appreciation of all those dogs for under $2…talk about a bargain! 🙂
Yes! 🙂 Great idea!
