This deal is HOT guys! Until 11/30, many CVS stores have this offer on. It’s unadvertised in the printed ad, but it’s advertised on their online CVS Weekly Ads. For a limited time, you can get a $150 Paypal Mastercard (Not the Paypal Gift Card) and get a $50 Extrabuck to be used on a future transaction. The cost of the card is $4.95 at CVS. So basically pay $154.95 for a card you would use like a credit card or debit card and get a Free $50 Extrabuck printed out. So like a $45 Money Maker. If you have an Albertson’s Store in your city, I think the best way to spend these cards is to use it at Albertsons on another giftcard and do cashback on the rest.
Some info I currently know about this deal:
- It’s not in all regions. Go to cvs.com and click on Weekly Ads. Then select your location and store to see the online weekly ad. If you see this deal listed, then it’s on at your store.
- The advertised limit is 1 per CVS card. But as of last night, CVS computers were allowing two purchases per CVS card.
- It’s much faster to activate this card online instead of by calling. I was on hold for over 30 minutes, and I’ve heard of others being onhold for longer.
- It doesn’t affect your credit even though they ask for your social security number to activate.
- Make sure to have all the info to identify yourself correctly. I recently moved and used my new address, which triggered some sort of security alert that now requires me to submit additional documentation (which I don’t want to do). If this happens to you, ask the rep to do a “Limited Activation” on your card or “Activate it as a Gift Card Instead of Mastercard”. This way, you can still use the card in stores.
- They are suppose to charge an additional $4.95 monthly fee to the card. If you spend the entire $150 from the card before this fee is charged, you won’t be charged a fee.
- Cancel the card when you are done.
- Use debit instead of as a credit card. Since it’ll take an extra 2-3 days before you can cancel if you use credit. So much slower and more trouble to cancel. Use the debit feature and you can cancel immediately.
- Do not have more than 3 cards activated under one person’s name. It’ll trigger security and require you to call in (long wait).
- You can get Cash Back at Walmart, Safeway, Albertsons, and many grocery stores or pharmacies. Cash back limit can vary by store, but from my research, they are $200 at Safeway and Affiliated stores, $100 at Walmart and Albertsons.
