It was a fun trip to Walgreens this week. Nothing makes me happier than to leave Walgreens without any RRs, and paying as little, out of pocket, as possible. I had paid a total of $0.57 out of pocket (before tax), and spent a total of 10,000 points between the two transactions.

I did want to mention that the Shout/Windex/Scrubbing Bubbles coupon did not scan at the register. The cashiers were nice enough to manually enter the coupons in. And as with any manual entry of coupons, you want to make sure all other coupons have been scanned. Otherwise, the manual entry will lock you out from adding any more coupons.

Transaction 1:

Transaction Summary:

• Total After Coupons: $16.07 (or $12.56 without the beanies) + tax
• Used $15.49 in RR to pay
• Pay Out of Pocket: $0.57 + tax
• Got back 8000 in points (Like $8)
• The 4 beanie babies acted like fillers. I had 4 RRs, so buying 4 Beanies worked out perfectly.

Trip Summary:

All in all, here’s what we did in total:

• Transaction 1: Use 18,000 points. Got back $15.49 in RR. Just paid tax.
• Transaction 2: Used all $15.49 in RR. Paid $0.57 + tax. Got back 8,000 points
• Summary: In total, I had spent 10,000 in points and $0.57. And I paid tax. If you don’t have points to spend, here’s the dollar amount spent: $11.07.
• I will also be getting back $3 from 3 checkout51 offers
• Thus making the final price after cashback to be $8.07 (before tax) !!
• Total retail value of everything (according to my receipt) was $103.45. Total of 92% savings.
