The number one question I hear from people is, “I’ve been signing up for freebies, but still haven’t received anything – Where is my stuff?” If you’ve been a Freebie Finder for some time, you may recall feeling this way when you first started. 🙂
UPDATE: I just created this video to address this common question. Watch it below or on YouTube Here.
To address the “I’m not getting any freebies” concern, I’ve compiled the following advice (based on my own experience):
- Get a Free Email Account and use it just for your freebie hunting. I recommend and love gmail. Never use your personal every-day email address when signing up for freebies – unless you love spam!
- Get a Free Phone Number and use it just for your freebie hunting. Google Voice offers free phone numbers in ANY area code. This is a great freebie all on its own! Again, never give out your own personal phone number when signing up for freebies – unless you love solicitation calls! Get Google Voice. Also great for that creepy guy that keeps asking for your number.
- Sign up for a lot of offers. Since not every offer will deliver, signing up for as many offers as possible will increase your chances. We do our best to filter out offers and only post ones we believe will deliver.
- Be patient. Most freebies take a long time to deliver, sometimes up to 8 weeks or longer. I didn’t start receiving a flow of freebies into my mailbox until 2-3 months after I started signing up for stuff.
- Expectations. Expect nothing, so that when you receive something in the mail, you’ll be surprised and thankful. Having no expectation has made freebie hunting much more fun and exciting for me. Going to the mailbox (once a week) has been a bit like Christmas. 🙂
I signed up for Google Voice to use that number when signing up for Freebies; however, during registration it requires an active phone number for Google Voice to be forwarded to. How does this stop unwanted telemarketing calls to my cell if it is forwarded to it?
You can turn off forwarding. That’s what I do. But you still get an email to let you know when you have a voicemail. It’s nice. It just need you to connect to a real cell during setup in order to get a google voice number. 🙂
I was just wondering the same thing…where do you turn off the forwarding?
You go to settings. There’s a check box next to Forwarding. Uncheck to turn off forwarding
Hi Tina.. Very new couponing but I’m learning so much from you … Gracias !!! You are awesome !!!!
Aww… You’re welcome! Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
I am new to this site, and looking forward to my free stuff
Good afternoon to you my favorite Tina;
My name is Chris. I just want to say “THANK YOU”. You have changed my retirement life believe it or not. I just retired and was INTERESTING to buy stuff until I found you on you Tube and your cutest website. And now I’m addicted to couponing. You are so cute with your dimple when you are talking and love your smile (look like my daughter in-law Susan). I don’t know how to describe your personality and talented young cute person on earth. You have made everything so easy for me to start this process. Guess what??? I just completed with your first scenarios in Personal Care at CVS with my exciting happiness moment! Yup! I did it and loved it. You are the best ***** rated. Thank you again so much for sharing your kindness knowledge. I love you:). Keep sharing… by the way, Now, I try to create Excel Spreadsheet with formula to see the total results for savings with coupons and Access Database for this but I don’t have any couponing experiences and therefore; if you have any excel spreadsheet or database for each of store ( ie. CVS, RITE-AID, AND ETC.)
PLEASE SHARE WITH ME. I really appreciate you. THANKS A LOT!!!!
God Bless you and yours…
Love in Christ,
Chris
