In response to the disappointment of many, Bonus Club Members will find a one-time use coupon valid for $15 off a Make-Your-Own Furry Friend. Note that you’ll be able to use this coupon in stores only through 8/31. The coupons have a long expiration date in the hopes that people will wait and the crowds won’t be so large.
Here’s what do to:
- Sign up for your Build-a-Bear Bonus Club account by midnight July 18
- As soon as you log in, the coupon will pop up
- Click to print or screenshot the voucher (limit 1 per customer)
- Use the voucher by Aug. 31, 2018
These bears start out at $12 which means you can get one for free or very cheap! Make sure you log into your account now to print or screenshot your coupon! If you’re not a member already, go here to sign up and score the coupon (log into your account by today 7/18 at 11:59 CT to receive it).
My store would not allow me to use two of these printed coupons for my two children using my one account. They said but if I had been handed out a voucher (apparently it’s different) on the DAY of the Pay Your Age event, then I would have been able to redeem it for multiple children.
awww, that’s a shame Joanna. I don’t know if it would do any good to call customer service, but it might be worth a shot!
In the end I was able to twist my husband’s arm (it wasn’t easy!) and get him to sign up for an account so our other child could get a bear too. So we did it in two separate transactions. For anyone who has three or more children, I guess they would need to enlist the help of aunts and uncles, grandparents and neighbors…

I bought 2 bunnies($16.50 each) for $3 plus tax after deducting 2 of the $15 off coupons. I guess, you can use it multiple times without the presence of your kids.

Most of the make a furry friend stuff animals start at $14 and up. You cannot use the coupon on the Happy Birthday, Jumbo, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Kabu or Power Rangers furry friends. At the time of transaction, they ask for your email address to make sure you are a Bonus Club member. This is a great deal and paid $1.63 for my total purchase.

Awww. I really appreciate it! I called them on Friday and the stores confirmed that they will accept coupons on even the $12 bears (cheapest the stores carry).

I’m not sure. You can create an account now for each of your kids. The coupon pops up even for new accounts now.

Hey Doreen, I don’t know if they would let you use it on accessories or not. The voucher states for Make Your Own Furry Friend, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask!
we waited in line for the pay your age day and got vouchers. i asked if we could use these on line due to we drove hours to get there and was told i could put the number under the barcode in to recieve the 15 off. it is not allowing me to and now we have missed out on our birthday bears because we left town instead of staying one more night. aggrevated

It wouldn’t let us use the vouchers, either. We drove three hours for this and aren’t even able to use the vouchers. So disappointing.
