So whenever the store adjust the price like that, I keep wondering ‘but they get the full price and the shipping cost from manufactures, aren’t they making money with coupons but not me….?’ I just don’t get it. So it’s like we are taking time to clip coupons and Making the store make money???
Hi Michelle. You’re exactly right, and I really hope this is not the direction that Target is moving in. Hopefully it only did it on this deal and won’t happen again. đ
The same thing happened to me. I paid $4.49 for some CG mascara. The $3.00 coupon scanned but only took off $2.61 for each coupon. Can anyone explain this?
That is really strange, Tara. I’m not sure why it would do that.
I was reading some comments on your IG post on this deal. I guess its happened to others too. I also sent pics of my receipt to your email address so you can check it out.
Oh man, that’s terrible. I’ll have to look into this more. Thanks so much for letting me know. đ
Also worked on the single eyeshadows btw. đ (but like i said previously, comes out to be free, not a moneymaker. i wish!)
Thanks for letting me know, Kimberly. I really appreciate it. đ
Yeah, unfortunately this is not a moneymaker. Just comes out a free since Target adjusts the coupon to the price of which you are paying for the item MINUS the $5 gift card. It auto adjusted and took off $1.30, $1.31 and $1.30 on each of my 3 items since that is all that I would pay after the $5 GC. đ Guess Target’s system as changed.
Oh no, that’s terrible if they’re going to start doing that. I haven’t heard of an official policy change on this. I’ll have to try it out and see if the same thing happens at my store. Thanks for the heads up. đ
Hi Tina. I tried to do the cover girl deal at target .I bought 3 eyeshadow for 2.97 each. I got back $5 gift card but for some reason when cashier scared my $3coupon it only took 1.30 and I went to customer service and they said that I can’t use $3coupon on a item that is 2.97 .you can’t get it for free
Hey. They should still accept the coupon, but they can adjust the coupon down to the sales price of the item. My Target automatically adjust the coupon down to the price of the item. Hope that helps. đ
