I live in Los Angeles CA but originally from Indonesia. Our favorite family recipe is a turmeric based chicken soup from Indonesia called Soto Ayam. We swear it cures cold, headache, muscle pain and other ailments because it’s healthy! The recipe uses lots of garlic, chicken with bones, kaffir lime leaves and of course turmeric. My kids grow up eating this soup, and not just for fall and winter
