My favorite memory was just recently.. last Thanksgiving. I am a retired Army service member so last year was the first in years since I’ve actually been home for the holidays so it was nice to have my babies around family, especially my mom for the first time. It was such an amazing feeling.
My favorite thanksgiving day memory would have to the year the oven quit working as the turkey was only a few hours in. Everyone was in a panic taking the dishes to be baked.

I remember my mother & father cooking the night before Thanksgiving & putting the turkey in the oven in the early in a.m. so we could be ready for dinner in the afternoon. I Remember my brothers and sisters & some extended family sitting down to eat talking laughing. We just enjoyed each other’s company. This was The one holiday we as a family ate together.
My favorite Thanksgiving memory is having my Dad come for the day and getting to visit with him has we made the meal. My husband and 2 sons were there as well as 2 of my brothers, my brother’s girlfriend and my brother’s dog. Just having a houseful of love made the day wonderful for me.
My favorite memory was four years ago. I made my first Thanksgiving dinner for my husband’s family. Thankfully it was a successful dinner. I’m reading from Bakersfield. CA

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is being a little girl and being around my entire family( maternal side). My uncles were so silly and it makes me miss family. I would then go to my dads side (where my family is ridiculously large and it would be a block party (this is New Orleans 90s) and we would eat and just have a good ole time. I’m currently In Evansville Indiana.
My favorite memory on Thanksgiving was when my family aunts, uncles and cousins would all pile up in my grandparents tiny house to celebrate. My grandma would prepare food for weeks because there were so many if us. There had to be at least 50+ people in that little house. We would eat together then my dad would get on the piano and we all would sing together. When she passed that all ended. I would love to make memories like this for my nieces, nephews and kids. These past few years have been tough. My favorite store is Kroger. This year I would love all my siblings and friends to join at my parents house for Thanksgiving.
My favorite thanksgiving memory would have to be thanksgiving 2016 because it was the last one I got to spend with my mother/best friend. -Las Vegas, NV
