Hi, Diane from Bloomington, Mn. We would “literally” go over the rivers and through the woods to grandma’s house for dinner. She always felt there was never enough food and everybody had leftovers to take home.

My favorite thanksgiving memory is having all my family over for holiday when I was around 13 or 14. We had extended family there. It was around the time my school had a fundraiser for baked goods. Like pies, cookies, etc. My mom bought a chocolate cheesecake and I was so excited for everyone to try it. It was a hit! I was so proud like I baked it. That was the last thanksgiving that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately it hasn’t been the same since my grandma passed but every year we are thankful to have each other.

My favorite memory is when I was about 11-13 still a kid and enjoying the good things in life. My mom made this delicious meal every Thanksgiving and I loved the best her potatoes and cheese casserole it was so yummy. I loved just thinking about it because we spent quality time and I love get togethers with my family. Houston,Texas

Actually, my first thanksgiving dinner was last year with friends and away from family since we had just moved to the US. Looking forward to celebrating it this year in our new home with our 2 month old baby and starting a new tradition of our own. I live in Orlando, Fl.

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is setting up a specia dinner for my sister and her little family at the hospital. She had just been diagnosed with cancer and Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday. She had to spend her first holiday away from her family so my siblings and I arranged a room on her floor and set it up with all the fixings. Best Thanksgiving ever.

My favorite memory from Thanksgiving is being together with family and friends. They’re the family you don’t usually keep in touch on a regular basis or the friends that moved out of town and only see on social media throughout the year. Through all the stresses and pressures from work and family life, it’s a great day to catch up with out loved ones and have a great meal together.

My favorite Thanksgiving memory would be last year’s Thanksgiving. We usually do it up so big and have both my husband’s and my family over and some friends as well. Last year marked my father in-law’s 1year of passing and we decided that we’d try something different. We decided it would be just my husband and I and our 5 children. Made everything from scratch just like my grandma taught me and our babies were in there helping every step of the way. Just getting back to basics and for just one day, tried to slow down time. Days like that make my heart so full. – Oceanside, CA
