My favorite thanksgiving memory is me and my mom preparing thanksgiving dinner the night before and my dad outside frying a turkey for the first time. Once the turkey was finished, me and my mom ate most of it while we were cooking. I’m writing from Dallas texas

I have to say my best memory was eating dinner early so that we could leave and make line to the Black Friday deals, when you would be out all night because stores actually opened on Friday early morning! Los Angeles, CA

Hello! My favorite Thanksgiving memory was 2017, it was the first year I was alone and able to cook for some of my family members. I had been living in Orlando, FL. for the last 5 years without family. I decided I wanted to get some family to come visit me for the holiday and cook for them. I went and bought food, my very first time making a turkey by myself, LOL it was an experience! Lucky for me everything turned out great and the few family members that were able to make it enjoyed it. We watched the Macy’s parade (like I use to do with my grandparents growing up) and having them there was what really made it special. I am happy to say, I was able to get some family members to now move to Orlando and we will be doing the same god willing this year. I hope everyone has a blessed holiday.

My husband is in Law Enforcement so we rarely celebrate the holiday on the actual day. This year we will have Thanksgiving on Saturday but my kids understand that it’s not about the day but being able to be together. I love how my husband will completely ignore everything else when he’s with us. Because Saturday will be Thanksgiving for us he won’t commit to anything else but his family. Happy Holidays to you. Thank you for all the hard work you do saving us money.

I remember on year when my grandfather was still able to go long distances for travel. The whole family got together to spend time out in a small house out in a wooded area, without phones or tv. I was very different for the family, we got to go out na dexsplore. I came home with so many new rocks, and my grandfather even dug up a tree and I still have it growing.

I am following you on insta @taytayloflin 🙂 thank you!

This is a bittersweet memory, but still my fave. My mom had thyroid surgery during Thanksgiving week when we were in elementary school and my dad was the one taking care of us. Since mom wasn’t home, dad couldn’t cook all on his own, and we were too young, dad asked us what we wanted to eat for Thanksgiving and we said Subway. I know, not the traditional meal, but still my fave because he did what he could at that time and tried to make US happy in an unhappy situation. We went to visit mom after in the hospital. She was doing well and couldn’t speak yet but happy to see us. ❤️ (Pinole, CA)

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is always the ones with my grandma. She was the sweetest, most kindhearted women I have ever met. Unfortunately she passed away this August, so this will be the first Thanksgiving without her. I am from Erie pa:)!

My best Thanksgiving memory was when I first came to the US. I was 9 years old and had only been in the US for 2 months. It felt like a second Christmas in which everyone got together and celebrated. All my family that lived in the US was there it was joy to meet so many of them. They were the other side of the family I hadn’t met before. It made me feel very thankful for the opportunities that where given to me that year.

Favorite Thanksgiving memories is of years past. My son and I would walk around the neighborhood collecting the “perfect, beautiful” leaves for our table setting. I’m looking forward to making more beautiful memories. Reading from Torrance,Ca Happy Holidays
