My favorite Thanksgiving memory is the pride I felt when I made my very first Thanksgiving meal as an adult and it wad PERFECT!

I don’t really have a favorite Thanksgiving memory. Just the memories of spending time with family. I’m writing from Greensboro, NC.
Well one Thanksgiving that stands out the most is the one when my son was born, that day was bittersweet. I didn’t even know I was pregnant, I started having seizures the night before Thanksgiving and I went into the hospital, that next morning he was born he had a few complications, the drs actually believed he wasn’t gonna make it because he swallowed his fecum. (Poop) they also said he was gonna have a hole in his heart and not be able to use his jaws to suck his bottle nor be able to use a fork or spoon. I am glad to say my baby boy is now 12 turning 13 this month. And just typing this makes me cry to see how far he has come. He is autistic but he is high functioning so even though he does have a few hurdles to push through in life. He is living and healthy and he definitely is my miracle baby. He struggled to stay here and I make sure I never take one day for granted with him. Ever since his birth Thanksgiving has been my favorite holiday. I’m thankful for my sunshine every year!

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is the wonderful time I had with my family when Gramma was still with us.
My favorite thanksgiving memories are the ones of being a child surrounded by the entire family. My grandmother at the head of the table saying grace as we all hold hands. She then had every single person say what they were grateful for. Some kept it short, some cried, but at that moment everyone felt close. We all felt grateful for the moment for that day for each other. Now everyone has their own family and celebrate independently. It isn’t the same. Still, I will always hold on to those memories
