Hi Tina, since I am a newbie I just want to know. So I did this deal, and at the bottom of my receipt after I used the $5 of $20 instead of saying “gift card” if says category coupon $5.00-. so the cashier didnt give me the giftcard. When I went to customer service, the manager told me that instead of giving me the gift card it deducted itself (which is not right because after I had added everything up there was no $5 being deducted.) She then told me she can do it again, but she wont allow me to use all 8 coupons, because only 4 manufacture coupon per transaction and even theyre all kinda diff it’s still “Loreal”-same brand. So supposedly I had gotten lucky because my cashier didn’t know better.
Hey Trist. Sorry to hear that it didn’t work out so well for you. You should have been given the gift card back. Target’s coupon policy allows 4 like coupons per day which I interpret as 4 of the exact same coupon. However, some cashiers/managers interpret that as meaning 4 of the same brand. Do you have another store in your area that you could try? When one store/cashier gives me trouble I usually just go to a different one. Hope that helps. 🙂
