Petsmart manager told me that they would not accept the coupon for over what the item amount was. So for the $3.99 they would not accept $4.00 coupon, item would have to be $4.00 or greater to use $4.00 coupon. I ask them why it would matter because they are getting the $4.00 from manufacturer and I was told that was not how that worked and they would not get $4.00 from an item that was not at least the amount of the coupon. Have you ever encountered this?? I was so frustrated. It’s not like I was asking them to give me the difference and no where on the coupon does it say that the value of the item has to be more than the coupon value.
Hi Carrie. I’m so sorry that you had to go through that. Maybe ask if they can adjust the value of the coupon down to the sales price of the item. A lot of stores are willing to do that. 🙂
Does Petsmart give overages, adjust coupon values, or would we have to use the overage to cover something else in the transaction?
Hey Marie. Their coupon policy says that the coupon may be reduced if it exceeds the price of the item. Hope that helps. 🙂
