Hi Guys! I didn’t do a shopping video this week because I was out of town with Mr FSF. Instead, I wanted to share with you my personal story and why I coupon. I hope you like the video.

This was the most beautiful, heartwarming video ever! You have overcome so many adversities and obstacles and look at where you are today! You are smart, beautiful, humble, funny and most important you are passionate in what you do! It shows in all of the work you do for us on FSFI You have saved me and my family so much money and i appreciates it, as i’m sure everyone on here does! You break the bargains/sales down so good it makes it almost impossible to mess up! LOL! Thank you Tina for sharing a bit of your personal life with us i am sure it wasn’t easy but it was wonderful!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, Melissa. You have no idea how much it means to me. I’m glad you enjoy the site and are learning to save. 🙂
Hi, Tina! I really enjoyed your video. I was especially moved by your revelation that you were an English Language Learner in school. I am an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher, and I work very hard to help my students develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. However, I see my students only for about 30 minutes per day, four days per week. It’s up to the regular classroom teacher to foster a classroom community that appreciates differences and embraces all cultures and experiences. As a former regular classroom teacher, I know it’s very hard sometimes to make all students feel like part of the classroom community, and it breaks my heart when I see children being cruel to others just because of differences. I think that’s why I decided to come out of the regular classroom… so I would feel more valuable offering my help to children “on the other side.” It makes my heart swell with pride when I see my students make progress in their academics, but I also am beyond moved when I see them interacting positively with their peers… seeing them reach out to communicate… to try to be a part of the community… and to never give up. Bless you for being a superstar shining example for these kids!
As for how your site helps improve my life… I only recently started couponing, and FSF came up in a web search. It didn’t take long for me to get hooked! I also am so glad you pointed me in the direction of Ibotta. So easy… and so cool to see the cash pile up! Thank you for providing such an awesome resource for us. You make a positive difference, my friend! I wish you and your family the absolute best holiday season. God bless.
Awwwww, thanks so much David. You have no idea how much your comment means to me. Thanks so much for making a difference in the lives of children. Especially ELL students. I’m glad you enjoy the site. Thanks again. 🙂
I can’t imagine how difficult was…but now you are amazing! Keep it up!!!
Thanks for the sweet comment, Alejandra. It was difficult to share, but I’m really glad that I did it. 🙂
Tina the video is very touching. It’s beautiful story. I will stop couponing in target round rock Texas. because a man was following me. I first saw him in the paper towel section, then I saw him while I was checking out then in the parking lot. I got a weird feeling. It would not be worth it if I have to deal with a humiliation even though I am just trying to save. You know how I keep on going back n forth into my coupons envelope in my small shoulder purse that I put in cart, they probably got suspicious and also going aisle to aisle checking on the shelves. I was researching on it, in consumer sites, some people did experience these kind of situations, maybe stereotyping, Asians Cz I’m Asian, blacks commented on stuff on how they were couponing, and security was on them . So I’m just going to stop. I will just finished off my newspaper subscription then just do the drugstore deals. My husband( white) is willing to go with me sometimes to that store to coupon for deals. Maybe I will do that with him. Or not . But I won’t be going to all target stores couponing or not. Maybe I’ll just do online deals with them . Thank you for all that you do.
Hey Geraldine. Thanks so much for your sweet comment. Hope you get everything sorted out. 🙂
