Hey you! I just uploaded a new video! An In-Depth Guide on How to Extreme Coupon at Walgreens. Click here to the written show notes for this video. I’m really excited for the video, since Walgreens was the first store that I had learned how to coupon in. So I can totally related with the overwhelm of learning the ropes of Walgreens. In this video, my goal is to make the most comprehensive guide on Walgreens Couponing.
Additionally, I had re-written the Walgreens 101 Guide (since the previous one I did with Emily was almost 2 years out of date). Click here for the written version of the video above.

Hi tina!
Can i ask where can i find/subscribe newspaper/pagazine with coupons?
thank you 🙂
Hi Irish. I would start with your local newspaper. My paper runs a deal for couponers. I get 5 papers every Sunday for $8 per month. See if your paper has a similar program. 🙂
I have a question about the coupon ratio… if I’m purchasing two items, can I use a buy one get one free coupon and an RR? It would be one coupon and one RR for two items, but is the RR considered a coupon on a free item? I made a purchase a week ago and the cashier said if it says “save $x.xx when you buy two” that the coupon counts as two towards my total number of coupons used in a transaction. I didn’t dispute it, but it didn’t seem right.
Hey Michelle. Walgreen’s policy states that coupons will not be applied to any free item, so in this case it looks like you would need to buy a filler item in order to use the RR. Hope that helps. 🙂
Thanks Tina (& the gang!) for producing such high quality material, always clearly explained with a smile! You’ve truly been a tremendous asset in my couponing endeavours!
Aww. You’re so welcome KC! So happy we are producing helpful content. 🙂 It makes our work more meaningful, ya know? Have a great rest of your week!
When you clip the manufacturers coupon to your card, does that one coupon apply to more than one item, or just one item? For example, if I clip a tide coupon to my card, can I use it for three tide products,or just one? I know the walgreens coupons can be applied for more than one item purchased, I’m just not sure about the manufacturer coupons.
Those Manufacturer coupons that you clip only applies once to one item. 🙁
I have gone to Walgreens a couple of times and did transactions exactly as I have seen on your site and they don’t give me points when they should
Hmmm.. I can’t really help without specific deals you can tell me about. Most deals we post are good and advertised. So perhaps there was some other mis understanding. Can you be specific as to which deal did not work?
Are the RR a manufacturer q that can be used at another store like Kroger or Meijer? I’m new to Walgreens and exited to start learning it!
Some stores may take it, other stores wont because it has the walgreens logo on it. It’s may depend on your area.
I don’t go to Walgreens as often as I would like to, nevertheless this is great information. Thank you!
You’re welcome. 🙂
